Design Heroes
Intro: A project to share our design heroes with the creative world. I researched the Designers Timothy Goodman, Jessica Walsh, and Brian Rea.
Research: It was an enlightening experience to research who my design heroes are, as I had never thoroughly investigated whom I was inspired by. I chose Timothy Goodman because I enjoyed his illustrative style within his mural works. His publication design is another thing entirely, making them visually pleasing. Jessica Walsh is her company's designer, CEO, and creative director. Her work in companies has bold color choices and a unique range of abilities. Finally, Brian Rea is an illustrator with a unique style I love. His work with an illustrative style of his pieces gives the subject a childlike effect but incorporates tough subject topics. Along with his outstanding works, he also includes them in publishing books that have won several awards.
Solution: With my design heroes chosen, with research done, and picked out several of their works to highlight, it was time to place them into a book format. Each spread takes a similar structure with the heading space of the artist's name and a full spread of them or a mix of the artist and their work. With the following spreads, I focus mainly on the examples of their works and set the informative text on the designer in the second.
